xxx years at one company — from writing native Android code to setting the technical course.
About
I grew up in a small village and came to Delhi for my MCA. xxx years later I am still at the same company, Oodles Technologies, just in a very different role.
I started out writing native Android apps and cross-platform ones in Titanium and PhoneGap, plus backend work in Yii and early TV apps for Roku and NetGem. As I moved into leading people, the ground stayed the same, mobile and TV platforms, but the job changed from writing code to setting direction.
Along the way I've managed teams of xxx or more, run delivery across the US, Europe, and Asia, and helped one account grow to about $xxx a month in billing. I still think like an engineer first. Most of what I do now comes back to what I learned building things myself.
What I work with
Ports
A few places this work has shipped, all delivered as part of my role at Oodles Technologies.
Streamly
A live TV platform running native apps, Android TV, OTT, and a custom CMS across more than xxx channels. I ran the project end to end, including DRM protection, transcoding, and making sure playback held up across every device.
BabyFlix
A cloud gallery connecting clinics with expecting parents for ultrasound images and video. The app was struggling with slow uploads and video handling at scale. I led the rework of the architecture, which fixed the performance problems and gave it room to grow.
Blackbook
An all-in-one travel booking app with a large hotel inventory, trip planning, and a points-based rewards program. I led Android and iOS development and owned releases and QA across both.
